<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device which expands games without adding special devices to a game cartridge and enables users to enjoy the development of new games without imposing economic burdens on users. <P>SOLUTION: The game device comprises a game machine 1, the game cartridge 2 attached to and detached from the game machine 1, an outside input device 4 attached to and detached from the game machine 1, and a medium 5 attached to and detached from the outside input device 4. A game program stored in the game cartridge 2 comprises a first game program P1 implemented by operating an operational part 9 provided on the game machine 1 and a second game program P2 which needs information in the medium 5 in addition to the operation of the operational part 9.
