PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material that is a material (material for cone edge) used for an edge part 1 playing a role of fitting a cone part 2 of a speaker, for amplifying sound through resonance, to a casing 3 of the speaker, and can prevent a depression to hinder the sound quality of the speaker for use over a long time from being caused to the edge part and allow the edge part 1 to maintain an excellent shape equal to that just after its manufacturing over a long time. SOLUTION: The material for the cone edge is formed by a rubber layer formed to a base member made of polyester-made crimped yarns. The rubber layer can be formed via an unvulcanized adhesive layer.
