PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an overhead power transmission line which can secure tensile strength and fatigue strength while having high corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: This high anti-corrosion overhead power transmission line 1 is obtained by using a special strength galvanized steel wire 2a having a tensile strength of 180 kgf/mm<SP>2</SP>or more as the steel wire 2a of a steel core aluminum twisted wire having a twisted aluminum wire layer 3 obtained by twisting aluminum wires 3a on the periphery of a steel core 2 obtained by twisting the aluminum wire 3a using aluminum having a high purity of 99.9% or more of purity as the aluminum wire 3a and twisting loosely the aluminum wire 3a so as to have a complementary length of 0.2-0.6% for the aluminum wire 3a relative to the steel wire 2a. Since the aluminum wire of high purity is used, high corrosion resistance is secured. Since the steel core shares all tensile loads, and since the steel wire of higher strength than usual is used as the steel core, a problem by using the aluminum wire of the high purity having low tensile strength and low fatigue strength does not occur.
