METHOD FOR SELECTING CARBON-ATTACHED CARBONIZATION CHAMBER, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING COKE OVEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently selecting a carbonization chamber to be maintained in a coke oven constituted of two or more carbonization chambers, and to provide a method for operating the coke oven utilizing the method. SOLUTION: The selection method in the coke oven constituted of the two or more carbonization chambers comprises calculating an average value A of extrusion resistances in a specified cycle at each carbonization chamber, and a standard deviation B of the extrusion resistance in the specified cycle, calculating the deviations S(A) and S(B) of the average value A and the standard deviation B of the extrusion resistance obtained per each carbonization chamber by using the two or more carbonization chambers as the population, and selecting the carbonization chamber from which the carbon attached to an oven wall may be removed from the two or more carbonization chambers based on the deviations S(A) and S(B).
