PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved set screw with a tip at the front end. SOLUTION: The set screw 100 comprises a body 110 having a screw portion 120. The body 110 has a wrench hexagonal hole at the rear end and a tapered portion 140 at the front end where a bottomed hole 150 is formed. The chip 160 to be inserted into the bottomed hole 150 has an annular groove 162.
