PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buried storage tank that does not lose the safety of the storage tank due to the progress of corrosion even if directly contacting with underground water that has high salinity, prevents the inside waste liquid from leaking out and mixed into underground water, and is low in cost. SOLUTION: The storage tank includes a hole 11 made in an underground concrete slab, an outer shell 12 disposed in the hole 11 and made of a material that is uniformly corroded by underground water that might enter from outside, and an inner shell 13 enclosed in the outer shell 12, storing a liquid directly, and made of a material that is resistant to corrosion with the liquid.
