PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus capable of suppressing deterioration of the quality of an image by preventing impacted colored ink and transparent ink from mixing together before curing even when the transparent ink is used, and by suppressing bleeding of the ink, increasing the diameter of a dot, and unevenness of the surface on a recording medium. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus is equipped with a photo-irradiation apparatus 6 for curing a discharged ink, a transferring apparatus for transferring the recording medium 8, a recording head 52 for discharging a colored ink 1a, a recording head 51 for discharging a transparent ink 1b, and a controlling apparatus 10 for controlling discharging of a transparent ink recording head so that the central position of a dot of the transparent ink recorded by the transparent ink recording head is recorded at a position shifted from the central position of a dot of the colored ink recorded by the colored ink recording head.
