The invention relates to a method for filtering water of a pond containing aquatic plant ecosystems and suitable for use as water for swimming. The invention is characterized in that it consists of maintaining a minimal circulation of water inside at least one ultraviolet filter (F) and of varying the flow rate of filtered water according to the use of the pond by means of at least two alternatingly operating water circulating means (P1, P2). The invention also relates to a filtering device (D) for carrying out said method. The invention used for filtering water of swimming ponds and/or configured for developing ecosystems.
