A luminous turning button for an electric circuit, comprising a handle (20) which is pivotably mounted about an axis (X) for actuating at least one electric switch unit (12) and which is illuminated by a light source (S) which is substantially disposed between the axis (X), said handle (20) comprising a cover (22) forming a disk (22B) and an ear (22A) for gripping purposes, protruding according to a diametral plane. The invention is characterized by the fact that the cover (21) is made of a translucent or transparent material enabling light to pass outside, and the gripping ear (22A) is hollow, covering a base (21) and being integrated into an opaque and mechanically resistant material.
