<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar apparatus capable of fully suppressing sidelobe clutters and exhibiting high range resolution. <P>SOLUTION: An angle measurement/distance measurement processing circuit 530 measures angles and directions in which a target and clutters are present and determines the distances to them, on the basis of results of processing of a clutter suppression/integration processing circuit 520. A radar control circuit 550 detects the distance to be observed and the range of the clutters. A pulse compression processing circuit 510 processes pulse compression, on the basis of a weight W(f) provided from a weight-computing circuit 540. The weight-computing circuit 540 partitions a range to be observed, on the basis of the range of the clutters and the distance to be observed transmitted from a radar control circuit 550 and determines the weight W(f) on computations for each partition. The weight W(f) is set at a value to form null such that the side lobes are reduced in the range of the clutters and in a region of the width of one partition adjacent to the range of the clutters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
