PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that magnetic change due to the magnetization of a permanent magnet field rotor becomes a cause for generating a cogging torque. SOLUTION: An apparatus for magnetizing a permanent magnet field rotor includes a magnetization reducing groove 7 formed at tips of magnetizing teeth 3 of a magnetizing yoke 5 at the magnetizing apparatus side, in which an unmagnetized rotor member is inserted and magnetized.
