PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device using a belt whose tension is easily adjustable. SOLUTION: The power transmission device comprises a shaft (a driving shaft) 38 of a motor 11, a driven shaft 56 connected to a rear wheel RW, and the belt 13 bridged between the motor shaft 38 and the driven shaft 56 for transmitting the power of the motor 11 to the rear wheel RW. The motor 11 is cantilevered and supported on a motor part case 26 in a such displaceable manner as to change a distance between the motor shaft 11 and the driven shaft 56. The motor part case 26 has a feed screw 42 together with a double nut 44. By the adjustment of the feed screw 42 and the double nut 44, the motor 11 is displaced relative to the motor part case 26 to adjust the tension of the belt 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
