PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately adjust a camera position, regarding an imaging apparatus with an object being irradiated with light and imaging the light reflected by the object or the light transmitted through the object by a camera constituted of a plurality of photodetectors. SOLUTION: Regarding a camera position adjusting method for the imaging apparatus with the object being irradiated with light and imaging the light reflected by the object or the light transmitted through the object by the camera constituted of the plurality of photodetectors, the height of a calibration surface from a prescribed datum level in a direction vertical to the prescribed datum level is different in at least two or more imaging positions corresponding to the photodetectors in the visual field width direction of the camera; in the case of imaging the calibrator surface by the camera, the calibrator picking up images having different luminance distribution in a direction in the datum level and in a direction vertical to the visual field width direction, is arranged; and the camera position of the camera is adjusted according to the luminance distribution of the image obtained by imaging the calibration surface by the camera.
