PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new screw extrusion granulator of lateral extrusion type capable of remarkably enhancing a granulating ability by reducing slippage between a raw material and a screen. SOLUTION: The screw extrusion granulator of lateral extrusion type has a screen 50 in which extrusion molding holes 50a are continuously arranged in a rhombic shape on the surface, the major diagonal line of rhombus is arranged along the rotation direction of an extractor 51 and, further, striped ruggedness 50c is formed along the minor diagonal line. Accordingly, by virtue of the striped ruggedness 50c, frictional resistance between the raw material (A) and the screen 50 is increased, the slippage of the raw material (A) is reduced and the granulating ability can be enhanced.
