PRODUCTION METHOD OF ELECTRODE FOIL FOR ALUMINIUM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an electrode foil for aluminium electrolytic capacitor in which mechanical strength as well as capacitance of the electrode foil is enhanced by enhancing pit density and uniformizing the pit length. SOLUTION: In the production method of an electrode foil for aluminium electrolytic capacitor comprising a prestage etching process and post-stage etching process, the prestage etching step includes a first prestage etching process and a following second prestage etching process. In the first prestage etching process and the second prestage etching process, a maximum current density is set at the start of current application, a current is applied such that the absolute value of inclination in current density is decreased gradually when the current density is decreased from the maximum current density down to 25% thereof or below, and DC etching is performed by setting conductivity of etching liquid in the first prestage etching process higher than that in the second prestage etching process.
