PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a contact type displacement measuring head with an indicating light. SOLUTION: Two LEDs 6a and 6b is provided on a contact type displacement measuring head 1 which can be seen from the outside. The LEDs 6a and 6b are driven by a controller 42 controlling the head 1 to indicate a zero point permissible setting range, linear detectable range (enable range) or the like.
