The device has a chassis (200) with horizontal plate (210) for holding the two airbag fabrics, and a moulding tool (300) displaceable over the plate with a heat source (320) on one side for melting the thermoplastics urethane. The moulding tool head has a base shape corresponding to the desired connection of the two airbag fabrics and a motor (400) connected to the moulding tool moves it vertically up and down relative to the plate so that the tool head aligns with the two fabrics and bears tightly against same to enable the connecting faces to be heated through the heat source and fuse together to form an integrated airbag. A cutting device can be provided on the front face of the moulding tool to cut the airbag.
