To secure a button and the like, to a fabric, a thin filament of a shear-resistant and flexible polyamide 6.6 is anchored to a plate of the same material. One filament or two are used, for buttons with two or four holes. The filament is pushed through the fabric from below, through the holes in the button, and bent back to be anchored in the plate.
