[PROBLEMS] To transport purified freshwater to an inland area concurrently with desalination without the use of any fossil fuel. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A highly airtight pipe is installed from raw water (5), such as saltwater, to inland area (7) where a nighttime air temperature drop is expected, and all gases other than steam are removed from the interior of the pipe. Then, the raw water evaporates (boils) at evaporation section (1), so that the interior of the pipe is filled with steam. In particular, as during the night the temperature of heat insulating transport section (2-1) is lower than that of the evaporation section (1) because of radiation cooling, steam flows into heat release transport section (2-2) due to a pressure difference in the pipe. However, as portion exceeding the saturated steam quantity cannot exist as a gas, portion of steam condenses in the heat release transport section (2-2) to thereby attain freshwater purification. In this connection, when the temperature difference between the evaporation section (1) and the heat release transport section (2-2) disappears, freshwater purification would be discontinued. Therefore, the evaporation section (1) is structured so that any temperature drop is inhibited by circulation of the raw water, and the heat release transport section (2-2) so that any temperature rise is inhibited by reduction of heat flux.
|
