<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a field-weakening control to be performed sufficiently by enlarging a leading phase angle by a presumed phasing scheme which presumes the rotor phase of a brushless DC motor. <P>SOLUTION: A method of controlling the brushless DC motor includes a step of controlling the brushless DC motor 8 by calculating the time ts of a circulating current generated by switching the energization of a control circuit 20 in a range that cannot detect a rotor position by an induced voltage generated in a non-energizing phase when the brushless DC motor 8 is controlled, and outputting the drive signal of the energizing timing of the brushless DC motor 8 by the presumed phasing scheme IPM6 for presuming the rotor phase so that the circulating current time ts becomes the value corresponding to the predetermined number of rotations. The leading phase angle is enlarged by this presumed phasing scheme, thereby enabling the field-weakening control to expand the range of the number of rotations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
