PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, since the inside of a folded part of a cathode can of a conventional electrochemical cell is formed in a curved surface to have a narrow space at a bottom part of the cathode can, a folded part of the cathode and an electrode member come in contact with each other to cause deformation or crack of a cathode member. SOLUTION: By providing a groove at the folded part of the cathode can, the cathode can the cathode member are prevented from contacting each other.
