<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing configuration deciding device for deciding the packing configuration of an article so that the total physical distribution cost will be minimum, making the entire processing steps including packing, loading, unloading, and assembling and installation on site most efficient. <P>SOLUTION: The packing configuration deciding device comprises a packing unit level deciding means 1 for deciding at which layer of a product structure the product is to be packed, according to input information data 15 including at least the basic specifications of the product, a delivery date and a customer's request; a packing/transportation configuration information producing means 2 for deciding the packing configuration for the layer of packing and a transportation method including transportation procedures on an installation site; a physical distribution cost evaluating means 3 for evaluating by calculating a total physical distribution cost including a transportation cost according to the packing configuration and transportation method, and an installation cost; and a feedback processing means 4 for making at least one of the pieces of analyzed information to be modified and analyzed again, if a target total physical distribution cost is not attained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
