PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of an ice making chamber by improving corrosion resistance to salinity and dissolved components in ice making water on the internal wall surface of the ice making chamber of a flow-down type ice making apparatus, and dissolving impact force caused by the fall of plate-like ice onto a bottom wall surface in the ice making chamber. SOLUTION: All the internal wall surfaces (a top wall surface 11a, each side wall surface 11 and the bottom wall surface 11c) of the ice making chamber 11 are formed of synthetic resin, and an ice receiving device 15 for receiving the plate-like ice to convey it to the crusher mechanism 16 side is interposed between each ice making plate 12 and the bottom wall surface 11c of the ice making chamber 11. Corrosion resistance to salinity and dissolved components on the internal wall surface is improved by forming all the internal wall surfaces of the ice making chamber 11 of synthetic resin, and impact force to the bottom wall surface 11c caused by the fall of the plate-like ice is suppressed by receiving the plate-like ice by the ice receiving device 15 located above the bottom wall surface 11c.
