PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing capable of having a longer life against rolling fatigue in the case of a large sized component and having no reduction in crack strength and no increase of a secular dimensional change rate and also obtaining greater strength improved by refining of crystal grains when the component size is a designated size or below. SOLUTION: The rolling bearing 1 includes a race ring and a rolling body. At least one of members between the race ring and rolling body has a nitrogen enriched layer on a surface layer. Austenite crystal grains on a surface layer section are No.11 or upper, and the distance from a hardening end being as a HRC50 becomes hardenability of 12.7 mm (8/16 inch) or more on a hardenability testing method of steel.
