PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder block for suitably suppressing deformation along with assembly and degradation in sealability, while keeping weight reduction of an engine. SOLUTION: In the engine, the cylinder block 1 has separated structure constituted of a cylinder block body 3 and a cylinder liner 2 inserted in an bore part of the cylinder block body on the side of a part as a water jacket 5. The cylinder liner 2 is formed of iron-based alloy sintering material as base material integrally with an upper deck 23 covering an upper face of the part as a water jacket 5 and an upper face of the cylinder block body 3.
