PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer capable of accomplishing trade-off of printing speed and printing quality with good productivity. SOLUTION: This inkjet printer has a print head (2), a medium transferring means (6) feeding a recording medium to the print head and transferring the recording medium at the print head, a head driving means (4) having the print head to discharge ink, a speed setting means (18) setting the printing speed, and a controlling means (8) determining at least either one of a transferring speed of the recording medium at the print head and a time interval from finishing of the printing of one page to starting of the printing of the next page, making the medium transferring means to transfer and feed the recording medium under this condition, monitoring temperature of the print head, and advising to change the set speed of the printing to a user when the temperature change exceeds a predetermined limit.
