PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner in which an increase in the manufacturing cost caused by making the air cleaner large in size and heavy in weight is restrained and such a situation is prevented that the air in a cleaned space is made to flow out to an exterior space due to disturbance. SOLUTION: This air cleaner has an upward-opened suction port 104 arranged on a top plate 103 of a cleaner body box unit 100 and is constituted in such a way that the air in a smoking room SR sucked in the cleaner body box unit 100 through the suction port 104 is cleaned by a cleaning portion 102, wherein a barrier is arranged to be extended in the upward and lateral directions of one side face of the suction port 104, and sidewise blow-off ports 112 are arranged for blowing off the cleaned air almost horizontally along the barrier-extended directions.
