PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for preventing sidestream smoke without flowing the sidestream smoke even when a hole for inserting a cigarette becoming in vertical direction against the surface of the ground by increasing the close degree of contact of the cigarette with the inside wall of the hole and also capable of simply inserting and taking out the cigarette. SOLUTION: This tool for preventing the sidestream of the cigarette is provided by molding or forming a solid with glass wool, metallic fibers, carbon fibers, activated carbon fibers, ceramic fibers, rockwool, slugwool or flame resistant synthetic fibers having 1 mm to 0.01μm diameter and having air permeability, forming a cylindrical recessed part or the hole having almost the same diameter with that of the cigarette and having fibrous projections of the glass fibers, metallic fibers, carbon fibers, activated carbon fibers, ceramic fibers, rockwool, slugwool and flame retardant synthetic fibers at the whole of inside wall surface of the recessed part or the hole. On inserting the cigarette into it, the surface of the cigarette is brought into contact with the inside surface of the recessed part or the inside of the hole while bending the fibrous projections.
