PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester that is usable even in a field in a mountainous region, is miniaturized and has high general purpose properties and improved working efficiency while being advantageous in terms of manufacturing cost and assembly. SOLUTION: The combine harvester has constitution that an engine 40 is loaded on a traveling machine body 1 so that the output shaft 41 of the engine has a position in the longitudinal direction, a reaping and conveying part 3 is installed at one side of right or left of the engine 40, a threshing apparatus 4 is arranged behind the reaping and conveying part 3 and a grain storage part 5 is laid at the other side of right or left of the threshing apparatus 4.
