Producing a transportable asphalt concentrate comprises mixing (by weight) 5-35 parts bitumen, 0-80 parts filler and 0-80 parts sand while heating in an asphalt mixer and crushing the mixture after cooling. An independent claim is also included for an asphalt concentrate produced as above.
