To produce a cushioned (6) handgrip (3) in the side (2) of a transport container the side of the mold is formed by either one of two slides. The side (2) is formed by injecting material (4) using the first slide. This is then replaced by the second slide to inject softer material (7) to form the cushion (6). The successive steps can be performed in adjacent work stations or they can take place in the same station with the slides locked in their correct positions. An independent claim is also included for an injection molding tool fitted with such replaceable sliding sides with individual feed channels for the two components. The side material (4) is fed from the bottom and the cushion material (7) from the top.
