The liquid cooling tube (40) may be bent into two turns of a spiral. It is integrated with the stator laminations (10) of the electrical machine. The channels may be square-sectioned. The square-section channels may be manufactured by pressing or stamping a coiled circular-sectioned tube together with the stator packet between upper (50) and lower (52) stamping tools. The stator laminations and tube surround a central shaping tool (46) and fit inside a matrix tool (48).
