A locating member (1), esp for a vehicle pedal (23,24,25), comprises a hydraulic pressure cylinder unit (22.1), a slider (3), and a slider guide. The guide has a profiled rail (2) along which the slider can move. The groove contains a bearing shell (3.2) made of e.g polyoxymethylene, polyformaldehyde, POM or PTFE.
