<p>The invention relates to a method for convectively drying wet or moist stock during which the stock to be dried (2) is subjected, inside a dryer (1), to a drying gas that, during the drying process, takes up water contained in the stock to be dried and, after the drying process, is carried away in the form of waste gas out of the dryer (1). According to the invention, at least one partial volume of the drying gas is ionized during the drying process whereby not only the elimination by oxidation of odorous substances and pollutants contained in the waste gas is achieved but the oxidative decomposition of organic constituents contained in the stock to be dried is also promoted thus effecting a hygienization of the stock.</p> |
