A trolley includes an open-topped wetting receptacle (4) for receiving a cleaning tool such as a mop (5) and a liquid-storage chamber (11) disposed above said open top. A manually operable liquid dispensing device (14) is provided for dispensing a measured quantity of liquid from the liquid-storage chamber (11) into the wetting receptacle (4) by manual operation of a trigger (21). The device (14) includes a metering chamber (22), a dispensing valve member (38) for controlling the supply of liquid from the metering chamber (22) to the wetting receptacle (4), and a filling valve member (31) for controlling the flow of liquid from the liquid-storage chamber (11) to the metering chamber (22). A float valve (46) admits air to the metering chamber (22) for rapid emptying, and a control drum (23) can be adjusted to accurately determine the volume of liquid dispensed. |
