<p>Method for preparing a synthesis gas (A) for production of ammonia, based on steam reforming of natural gas (NG), in which the excess pressure, at least of the NG partial stream used for heating, is processed for recovery of mechanical energy. Method for preparing a synthesis gas (A) for production of ammonia, based on steam reforming of natural gas (NG), where NG is processed (a) in a first reformer, with addition of steam, at a predetermined process pressure (endothermic reforming reaction) and (b) in a second reformer, with supply of compressed process air (exothermic reforming reaction). (A) is recovered by conversion and purification, then compressed. The first reformer is heated with a part of NG, and excess pressure of at least the part of NG used for heating is processed for recovery of mechanical energy. An independent claim is also included for a plant for producing (A) by the above method.</p> |
