This invention is about a method to provide a service for Internet users to conveniently access such digital contents as moving picture, animation, music, photo, picture, ebook, cartoon, etc, and Internet information related to the contents using a name identification number of URN (Uniform Resource Name) function. Internet users can get relevant services through the following three methods: First, users can put in the titles of movies or novels such as "the Lord of the Ring" and "Who ate all the Sing-A that was so much" on the address input window of a browser or input window of toolbar. Second, users can put in the name of name identification number and the requesting name such as "name: the Lord of the Ring" on the address window of a browser. Third, users can click the information on the name identification number inserted into such documents as HTML, XML, SGML, PDF, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Hangul, E-Mail. A service flow is as follows: The first stage (S1) is that the plug-in module installed in users' computers automatically resolves name or title ("the Lord of the Ring") into name identification number("name:kr:the+Lord+of+the+Ring"). The second stage(S2) is that a web browser recognizes users' requests as a name identification number service when users' requests were made in three ways (when a general name was resolved into a name identification number after going through S1, when users directly put in name identification number on the address window or toolbar input window and when users click a name identification number inserted in documents. The third stage(S3) is that the plug-in module installed in a web browser selects a resolution server to process user's service request through the service country code of a name identification number. The fourth stage (S4) is that the plug-in module sends a user's service request to the selected resolution server. The fifth stage(S5) is that the selected local resolution server searches metadata database indicated by a name identification number. The sixth stage(S6) is that HTML documents to be delivered to the users are created by using the metadata information of search result. The seventh stage(S7) is that users selected items that they like in the automatically created HTML page. The last stage(S8) is that ultimately users either go to the web pages they selected or directly get such services as moving picture or music. Through this service, contents providers can insert name identification number information of the digital contents to be sold into various documents including email and distribute to customers; content users can get the relevant contents service or access to the relevant web page by putting in the titles of contents or names of authors on the address window of a browser or by clicking a name identification number included in documents. |
