The antenna (100) has a monopole radiating unit having a conducting surface (102) associated to a base (108) through a pole (106). The conducting surface has a rectangular shape defining a frame or outer part of a slot (104) of the radiating unit. Outer perimeter of the frame having an order of wave length associated to a center frequency of a bandwidth of the antenna. An independent claim is also included for an antenna fabrication method.
