<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the contents of parameters received to be stored appropriately, even in when the amount of data of parameters which are received in the format of a system, exclusive data of an MIDI, is not in agreement with the storage capacity which has been secured in an internal memory. <P>SOLUTION: In an a mixer engine 10 which processes an acoustic signal according to values of prescribed parameters, the data amount of parameters is stored in a parameter table for each kind of the parameters and when the mixer engine receives system exclusive data of a MIDI specification, the engine discriminates the kind of parameters contained in the data (S2) from the data, and compares an amount of data acquired from the parameter table in accordance with the kind with an amount of data of actually received parameters (S3 to S5); and when these are not in agreement, after the engine converts the received data into data of the amount of data acquired from the parameter table, the engine is made to record the data in the memory (S6 to S9). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
