<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing micro-lenses on a color display panel in a self aligning manner. <P>SOLUTION: A method of producing a display panel 100 having a displaying panel 101 and a plurality of micro-lenses 107 provided on the light incident side of the displaying panel comprises (a) the step of providing a displaying panel having a plurality of pixels disposed in a matrix form, that is, providing a displaying panel having a plurality of pixels wherein each of the plurality of pixels contains a first pixel 104B for transmitting first chromatic light and a second pixel 104R (104G) for transmitting second chromatic light different from the first chromatic light, (b) the step of forming a photo-curing material layer 105 on one of a pair of mutually-facing main planes of the displaying panel, (c) the step of exposing the photo-curing material layer via the displaying panel, that is, curing at least part of the photo-curing material layer by light passed through at least the first pixel, and (d) the step of forming a plurality of micro-lenses 107 by removing the uncured parts of the exposed photo-curing material layer 105'. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
