摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for metallizing a non-conductive substrate and a metallized non-conductive substrate formed by the same. SOLUTION: The method for metallizing the non-conductive substrate is disclosed. The method includes (a) a process of providing the non-conductive substrate having an exposed non-conductive surface; (b) a process of forming a transition metallic layer on the non-conductive surface; and (c) a process of exposing the transition metallic layer to a liquid solution of a compound selected from one or more of a phosphonic acid having≥6C and its salt and phosphoric acid and monoester of its salt. The non-conductive substrate can be made into, for example, an optical fiber. Also, the metallized non-conductive substrate and metallized optical fiber prepared by the same and an optoelectronics package including the metallized optical fiber are disclosed.
