PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assist transport device capable of reducing the burden on the operator to transport objects by operating a transporting means. SOLUTION: The assist transport device to reduce the burden on the operator to transport objects by operating the transporting means is equipped with a grasping means to grasp objects, a handle mounted on the grasping means for the operator to lead the object R in the desired direction, a force sensitive sensor 61 for sensing the interference installed in the connection part of the grasping means with the transporting means for sensing the direction and size of an external force applied to the grasping means, and controlling means 62, 63, 64 to subject the direction and size of the external force given by the sensor 61 to a computing process and make an assist transport of the object using the result from computation as the target for the transporting means.
