PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device that corrects variations in brightness without causing the problem of a deterioration in brightness and contrast of the display. SOLUTION: An A/D converter 11 converts an image signal to a digital image signal consisting of N bits, and outputs it. A correction value memory 14a stores correction data consisting of M bits for correcting differences between display pixels in a display 17. A multiplier 12 multiplies the image signals consisting of N bits output from the A/D converter 11 by the correction data consisting of M bits stored in the correction value memory 14a, and outputs an image signal consisting of L bits of which differences between display pixels in the display 17 are corrected.
