PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold assembly capable of uniformizing the flow of a molding material in a material passage to enhance the precision and appearance of a product. SOLUTION: In the mold assembly equipped with a plurality of mold bodies 11 and 12 which are mutually opened and closed to form a cavity 13 therebetween at the time of mold clamping, the material passage 8 provided on one mold body 11 to communicate with the cavity 13 and a valve device 21 for opening and closing a gate 6 for allowing the material passage 8 to communicate with the cavity 13, the valve device 21 is equipped with a valve casing 2 having the material passage 8 formed therein and the valve body 36 piercing through the material passage 8 of the valve device 21 to open and close the gate 6, and a stirring member 51 is provided in the material passage 8 of the valve device 21.
