<p>A process for producing a composite material from a molten metal and a cooled metal or nonmetal according to quenching technique, comprising carrying out material receiving and composite material outputting by means of a plant installed in a vacuum chamber providing vacuum atmosphere and cooling atmosphere, the plant comprising a first unit wherein a cooled amorphous cooling contributory material and a molten metal of amorphous composition or microcrystalline composition are supplied and diffused/scattered with centrifugal force of high rate revolution; a second unit for bringing in a delomorphous cooling contributory material from outside; a third unit for quenching wherein a mixture of amorphous cooling contributory material and molten metal scattered by the delomorphous cooling contributory material is compressed/rolled by means of cooled quench rolls into a multilayer composite material; a fourth unit for takeoff capable of discharging the composite material; and a fifth unit with vacuum sealing capable of maintaining vacuum although material incomings and outgoings are free. This process can provide a composite material of amorphous alloy or microcrystalline metal and nonmetal or metal for use as a variety of materials including various composite structural materials, biomaterials and nuclear reactor materials.</p> |
