<p>A head protector for a safety helmet, in which its impact-on-the-head absorbing liner comprises a main liner member and an inner subsidiary liner member, whose density is lower than that of the main liner member, a recess is provided in the inner surface of the main liner member, and the inner subsidiary liner member is fitted into the inner recess. Owing to this head protector, the rigidity of the whole of the impact-on-the-head absorbing liner is not so reduced and, nevertheless, both the maximum acceleration and the HIC of the head protector due to impact are effectively lowered. <IMAGE></p> |
