<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which is manufactured by pulverization method, has proper graininess, makes a smooth image free of roughness obtainable, provides high resolution, prevents image density from degrading, even in high-speed continuous image output, and is free of the occurrence of scumming, and to provide an image forming method, an image forming apparatus, and a process cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: The toner which, is manufactured by pulverizing and classifying processes and contains a binder resin and a colorant, is pulverized by a counter air current type pulverizing machine. The ratio of the particles, having a diameter of the equivalent circle of 0.6 to 2.0 μm as measured by a flow-type particle image analyser is 0 to 5 number%, the weight average grain size, measured by the Coulter method, is 4 to 7 μm, the ratio of the particles of 3.17 to 4.00 μm is 10 to 40 number%, the ratio of the particles of 4.00 to 5.04 μm is 20 to 40 number%, the ratio of the coarse particles above 12.7 μm is 0 to 1.0wt%, and the ratio (D4/D1) of the weight average grain size (D4) and the number average grain size (D1) is 1.04 to 1.30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
