<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image display which has flat color temperature and superior color reproducibility in halftone. <P>SOLUTION: Colorimetry values when a display means 1 displays tone signals R(i), G(i) and B(i) (where a number (i) is a tone value; 1<i<n) are acquired, and calculation based on the three attributes X (i), Y (i) and Z (i) of the colorimetry values (CIE-XYZ) for the respective tone signals is performed to generate a tone profile, that is, an adjusting condition of a tone-correcting means 12. Utilizing the tone profile, the tone-adjusting means 12 adjusts color data.
