PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle steering device which can accurately transmit a steering state at the time of a transitional vehicle behavior change to a driver as a steering reactive force. SOLUTION: This vehicle steering device is equipped with a torque sensor 4 which detects the steering state of a steering wheel 1, a motor 5 which adds/deducts a steering auxiliary force to a guiding mechanism 2, and a controller 13 which outputs a control command for increasing/decreasing the steering auxiliary force to the motor 5 in response to a steering torque. In the steering device, axial force sensors 20 and 21 which detect the lateral force of vehicle rear wheels 16 and 17 are provided, and the controller 13 outputs a control command for further decreasing the steering auxiliary force to the motor 5 as the rear wheel lateral force becomes larger.
