PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine enabling a user to comfortably perform facsimile transmission while suppressing the frequency of paper outputs to the minimum. SOLUTION: The facsimile machine provided with a function of transferring received image data to a specific computer connected via a network is provided with a transfer means. This transfer means stores the address information of a server apparatus connected to this network, and transfer the image data transferred to this computer by referring to the address information if the facsimile machine cannot access a computer of a transmission destination. By doing this, if the facsimile machine cannot access the computer of the transfer destination, the image data are transferred to a server apparatus which does not turn off a power supply, and only if the facsimile machine cannot even access the server apparatus, the paper output is performed.
